One of my favourite rare finds and a true collectors piece, this striking 19th century miniature yellow confit pot from the South West of France. It features a rich deep yellow partial glaze beautifully contrasted against the raw terracotta lower half, giving it a wonderfully rustic character. Full of charm and authenticity, the piece bears gentle age-related wear consistent with its history and use. There is also a small hole drilled to the base. A beautifully timeworn example with true provincial French character.
For the home - a wonderful piece of French charm, perfect styled on open shelving, stood beautifully alone, or paired with other yellow confit pots for a collected provincial look.
