This dreamy French confiture pot, once used to preserve foods such as jams, is now the perfect decorative piece for the home. Produced by the ceramic factory Choisy-le-Roi, the mark to the base reads Terre de Fer meaning “iron earth” , a high quality French earthenware that was especially popular during the 19th and early 20th century. It features pale tan and beige tones beautifully mottled throughout, giving it a wonderfully soft, timeworn character. Truly beautiful. Please note, there is a tiny graze to the rim.
For the home - use as a trinket dish for small treasures, or style on shelving with other pieces. It also looks beautiful topped with a single dried hydrangea head.
